Hotdoghouse is a boutique doggy daycare at heart—born in Amsterdam and now expanding our beloved concept to Haarlem! In addition to daycare, we offer training, a walking and pick-up service, and have a trusted network of over 200 experienced dog nannies for holiday stays.

We are a vibrant community in the heart of the city, with professional trainers and personalized care for your dog. No cages—just free running and carefully curated playgroups.

Because we keep our groups small, have different play areas, and work with the best trainers, we can provide extra support for dogs that find daycare overwhelming. We also reserve one spot per day for a "Cheeky" dog—an additional training and support program for pups displaying challenging behaviors.

In Amsterdam we’re located at the Riekerweg 6 (Amsterdam-Zuid) en in Haarlem we’ll open in the Hendrik FIgeeweg (Waarderpolder)

Dogs stay in supervised groups, both indoors and outdoors. We have large outdoor spaces for running and playing, as well as cozy indoor areas for warming up and resting. Our daycare is divided into different fields and groups, and our experts carefully match dogs into packs based on character, breed, size, and temperament. Since we are mainly outdoor-based, muddy paws are expected on rainy days! In winter, a coat is recommended, and in summer, a cooling collar & lots of shadow and water.

We are open on weekdays from 8:00 - 18:00. Check-ins are possible from 8:00 - 10.00 & check-outs between 16:00 - 18:00. We’d like to ask you to stick to those time frames so that we can keep the pack chilled in between!

Pick up your dog on time. If delayed, we offer a last-resort system (30 minutes in a kennel, at your own risk).

Think of it as a festival playground for dogs! Grass, sand, space to run, heated indoor areas for winter, and water play in summer. No kennels—just cozy retreat spots and stable small groups.

We have plenty of tasty snacks to treat your dog! If your dog has any allergies, just let us know, and we’ll ensure they only get safe snacks. You’re also welcome to bring your own if preferred.

Does your dog eat lunch? Feel free to bring it in a tray, labeled with their name. We serve lunches between 12:00 and 13:00.

You can WhatsApp us with questions. Then, we schedule a meet & greet. If it’s a match, choose your membership in the app and confirm your preferred daycare day via email or WhatsApp.

You can easily book through our app, Appy Bee. It allows you to reserve and cancel daycare days, training sessions, events (like dog yoga!), and even purchase your membership.

In Appy Bee, you can also schedule a meet & greet to visit our facility. This way, we can get to know your dog and ensure they’ll feel comfortable in our space.

Before starting your membership, we highly recommend booking a trial day to give your dog the chance to settle in!

Yes! After your dog has had a vaccination check and a meet & greet, you can book drop-ins via the app. However, we recommend sticking to the same days each week for consistency.

Your dog must have the mandatory Dutch kennel vaccinations:

• DHP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus)

• Leptospirosis (Weil’s disease)

• Kennel Cough (Bordetella & Parainfluenza) (strongly recommended)
  
  Upload proof via our form before your dog’s first visit. Without your passport being in our system; unfortunately we can’t accept you also if you’ve booked a spot.

• Dogs must be fully vaccinated.

• Bring your dog’s own meal if needed; we provide occasional snacks.

• Inform us of any special behaviors or medical needs.

• Female dogs in heat must stay home for three weeks.

• Unneutered males are allowed unless they cause issues.

• Sick dogs (e.g., with kennel cough, giardia) must stay home.

• Bring seasonal gear (e.g., raincoat, winter coat, cooling vest).

• We may close during extreme weather (updates via Instagram, WhatsApp, or SMS).

A membership guarantees you a fixed weekly daycare spot for a set monthly fee. If you need to switch days, you can reschedule within the same month. You can either do this yourself via our app or send us an email. Please note that changes are subject to availability, so make sure to plan ahead.

The main benefit of the membership is that it secures your spot, as our daycare fills up quickly. The membership automatically renews, and we have a one-month cancellation policy.

If a dog struggles with behavior, we offer a structured training program instead of removing them. We assess progress monthly. Only one ‘Cheeky Dog’ is allowed per day.

In Amsterdam, yes. Spots do sometimes open up, so message us if interested. In Haarlem, we have a waiting list until applications open—sign up to stay updated!

Dogs must be fully vaccinated and pass a social check during the meet & greet. Next step is booking a trial day on Friday. During a trial day our experts assess if your dog will enjoy daycare and, if needed, help them adjust.

Yes! We specialize in helping anxious dogs, including those with separation anxiety. We introduce them gradually with lots of personal attention and keep you updated.

Please inform us as soon as possible. Our team leaves at 18:00 sharp, but in emergencies, we can place your dog in our last-resort pick-up system. You'll receive instructions on how to retrieve them.

⚠️ Important: Your dog will be alone, which we do not recommend. This is only for emergencies. The kennel is safe and comfortable, with a small treat, but should be avoided whenever possible.

No, but we can arrange a trusted private nanny (anytime you want) through our in home care service! This service is also great if your dog has special issues, or doesn’t like big groups or daycare in general.

Kind of! Our "not your average" walking service includes home drop-offs, playtime at our daycare, and a short walk. This solution is a mix of pick-ups, walks, and shorter daycare sessions (about 2 hours).

Yes, but in a different way! We believe traditional dog hotels (24/7) can be too stressful for dogs. That’s why we’ve created a curated network of trusted nannies who match with your dog during the holidays.

While staying at the nanny’s home, your dog can enjoy our daycare facility during the day—for free! This means fun and socializing during the day, while enjoying a calm, homey rest at the nanny’s place at night.
